In July of 2005, I took a trip out west to the remaining half of the Great Plains States that I needed to see.  The natural scenery is spectacular.  I flew into Omaha, Nebraska and drove through Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota.  During this trip on July 4th, 2005, I completed my goal of seeing all 50 United States.
Flew into Omaha and drove to Lincoln and North Platte.  (Nebraska - 48)
Drove through Rapid City and saw Mount Rushmore.  (South Dakota - 49)
Drove through Medora, Teddy Roosevelt National Park, Bismarck, Jamestown and Fargo.  (North Dakota - 50)
Returned to South Dakota and drove through Sioux Falls and Mitchell.
Drove through Sioux City, Iowa and returned to Omaha Nebraska.
